Experience

Mr. Anderson is a transactional attorney in Robert Allen Law’s real estate and art law departments, and has experience in representing:

  • purchasers and sellers in complex commercial and residential purchase and sale transactions;
  • landlords and tenants in negotiating commercial leases, lease addendums, and tenant improvement agreements;
  • owners, contractors and architects in construction and design contracts;
  • developers in all aspects of real-estate development; and
  • buyers and sellers of blue-chip artwork.

Mr. Anderson’s practice focuses on the representation of non-US clients and in addressing the unique needs of foreign buyers and sellers of US real estate. Mr. Anderson works regularly with accountants and tax advisers to ensure that our clients are guided through the complex taxation and reporting requirements imposed on foreign purchasers and sellers of US real estate. Mr. Anderson also works with our corporate department in effecting the purchase and sale of shares of companies who own and develop US real property.

Mr. Anderson has represented clients in the purchase and sale of over US $13 million of blue-chip art work. He has negotiated purchase and sale contracts, consignment agreements, and is familiar with the issues specific to the transfer of precious artwork, including authenticity, insurance, confidentiality, handling, delivery, import/export and cultural property issues.

Mr. Anderson is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude, was the Articles and Comments Editor for the University of Miami Law Review, and was inducted to the Order of the Coif. He completed his undergraduate work at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.

Mr. Anderson is Member of the Rotary Club of Miami Beach, Board Member of the Brickell Area Association, a Member of ARTcrowd with the Bass Museum of Art, and is an Alumni Representative of Johns Hopkins University.
